Dr. Capelle joined the Associated Eye Care team as the Ocular Disease Fellow in July 2017. She earned her BA in psychology from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. After finishing her undergraduate degree, she spent the next four years as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant before attending optometry school at Western University College of Optometry in Pomona, CA. During her four years at Western University she was a member of the optometric honors society, Betta Sigma Kappa. She was on the Dean’s List all four years and graduated with highest honors as Salutatorian. She has a special interest in ocular disease as well as trauma care and likes to keep up with the newest technologies on dry eye management.
Dr. Capelle is originally from Saint Paul, MN. She enjoys running, and has completed 15 marathons to date! She also enjoys spending time with her husband and their two springer spaniel dogs, Isabelle and Oliver. In her free time, she likes to go to her cabin in Hackensack, MN. Dr. Capelle also enjoys going to Twins games, cross country skiing, and traveling.
