Dr. Lane joined Associated Eye Care in 1985. He earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota, completed his ophthalmology residency at Pennsylvania State University, and is fellowship-trained in cornea/external disease. His expertise is in cataract surgery, cornea/external disease, anterior segment surgery,LASIK eye surgery and refractive surgery. He has taught and lectured around the world in all of these disciplines and has authored many articles and book chapters in ophthalmology. He is past president of the world’s largest cataract and refractive surgery society (ASCRS) and is on the editorial boards of several ophthalmic journals. Dr. Lane is an adjunct professor of ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota, and a visiting faculty member of ORBIS International, which teaches specialized surgical techniques to doctors in developing countries.
Dr. Lane’s interests include golf, skiing, reading, traveling and spoiling his four grandchildren. He and his wife have three children.
